EEM (Empresa de Electricidade da Madeira) is the Energy utility of Madeira Island (Portgual). Advised by ONI Telecom, EEM has contracted SEPC to deliver second generation 200 Mbps PLC equipment for a commercial deployment of telecommunication services using this technology in Funchal (Madeira, Portugal). The first phase of the project will be installed during the first half of 2005, and an extension to 600 modems is scheduled before the end of 2005.
